USDA lifts PACA sanctions against New Farm Inc.

USDAThe U.S. Department of Agriculture has lifted sanctions against New Farm Inc. after the company satisfied a Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act reparation order.

The Packer reported Sept. 30 the USDA had sanctioned Brooklyn, N.Y.-based New Farm Inc. after it failed to pay $24,985 to a New York seller.

New Farm Inc. can now operate in the industry once it applies for and receives a PACA license. Jong Hwa Kim, who was listed as the responsibly connected officer, can now work for any PACA licensee.
