The U.S. Department of Agriculture has lifted sanctions against a Texas produce company and restricted two other businesses for failing to pay reparation awards issued under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.
Freshrite LLC satisfied a reparation order issued under PACA, according to a Sept. 26 news release from the USDA.
The Hidalgo, Texas-based company and its responsibly connected individuals, Cynthia Godinez and Anthony Godinez, can now operate in the industry.
The USDA restricted:
- Al Costo Inc., Santa Maria, Calif., for failing to pay $13,439 to a California seller. The responsibly connected officers are Jose Carmona, Victor Sanchez, Francisco Sanchez and Graciela Sanchez.
- Yippikya Corp., Houston, for failing to pay $9,786 to a Massachusetts seller. The responsibly connected individual is Katherine Schneider.
