The United States Department of Agriculture is seeking nominees for the United States Potato Board.
Applications by nominees must be submitted by July 1.
Every year, one-third of the board is appointed; producers, importers and a public member make up the board currently, according to a news release.
Each appointed member serves a three-year term.
The board has 59 open producer positions in the following states:
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin. The Board is also looking to fill three importer and one public member positions, according to the release.
