The U.S. Department of Agriculture is offering free Web seminars to members of the the fruit and vegetable industry, focusing on good agricultural practices and produce inspections.

Registration is required for the Agricultural Marketing Service’s seminars and space is limited, according to a news release.

The Web seminars topics are:

Fresh produce market inspection basics, Aug. 16, from 2-3 p.m. Eastern;

Good agricultural practices and good handling practices, and the GAPs harmonized standard, Sept. 20, 2-3 p.m. Eastern;

In Spanish: an introduction to the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act, Oct. 31, 2-3 p.m. Eastern; and

In Spanish: an introduction to USDA’s Fruit and Vegetable Market News, Nov. 15, 2-3 p.m. Eastern.
