Scheduled speakers are Tony Freytag, director of sales and marketing at Crunch Pak; Jessica Shelly, Cincinnati Public Schools foodservice director; Phil Muir, president and chief executive officer at Muir Copper Canyon Farms; and Lorelei DiSogra, vice president of nutrition at United Fresh.
The web seminar is prompted by new opportunities arising from policy changes in school meals and increased funding for the federal Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Snack Program, according to the release.
Freytag and Muir will discuss how the federal program and school meals requirements can benefit their businesses.
Shelly will discuss schools’ purchase decisions and policies.
DiSogra will talk on the expected doubling of produce servings in schools and upcoming nutrition policy changes that could create further business opportunities.
