Wolk, with United Fresh since July 2008 and previously senior director of membership, will direct marketing efforts to get members and their companies involved in the association programs. he will continue to direct the programs and outreach initiatives that were her responsibility as senior director of membership, according to a news release from Washington, D.C.-based United Fresh.
Miriam Wolk“We felt the marketing of the association and the benefits of membership went hand-in-hand with the actual membership function, so that’s her role,” said Ray Gilmer, vice president of communications at United Fresh.
Tom Stenzel, president of United Fresh, said in the release that Wolk has been key in building solid relationships with members.
Wolk is an American Society of Association Executives member and earned her Certified Association Executive credential in January 2010.
“I’m excited to find new ways to engage our members with creative marketing,” Wolk said in the release. “I look forward to directing our marketing efforts to communicate to our members that coming to events and experiencing what United Fresh has to offer is truly the value of belonging to the association.”
