The United Fresh Foundation is accepting applications for the 2012 Frieda Rapoport Caplan Family Business Scholarship Program.

The program gives up to four scholarships for employees of family-owned businesses to attend United Fresh Produce Association’s Washington, D.C., Public Policy Conference in October, according to a news release.

Recipients will receive complimentary airfare, hotel and registration to attend the WPPC from Oct. 1-3.

To apply, participants must outline why they want to attend the conference and what they hope to gain from going, according to the release.

An applicant must be employed by a family-owned business that is an United Fresh member.
