United Fresh to hold second Fresh Impact Tour

The United Fresh Produce Association has planned a series of events in February and March, called the Fresh Impact Tour.

The tour kicks off Feb. 8, when Washington, D.C.-based United Fresh hosts a forum at the Fruit Logistica trade show in Berlin, according to an association news release.

That will be followed by more than 10 Town Hall forums; dozens of visits to United Fresh members’ farms, packing facilities, distribution centers and grocery stores; and a trip to Chile.

The Fruit Logistica forum features a roundtable discussion on consumption, food safety and other industry issues. It will be led by United Fresh leaders from Ireland, Germany and Italy.

The Town Hall meetings and member visits will be in California, Washington, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

The trip to Chile, by United Fresh’s Produce Industry Leadership Class and staff, will be Feb. 22-26.
