The new store is expected to open in late July with new product offerings including a salad bar, hot grill and expanded “dollar” value section, said Chris James, regional vice president, in a news release.
“Our salad bars are extremely popular in other locations, so we anticipate that will be a big hit with our Snyder guests as well,” he said.
The new logo features a single star in the center, playing on the company’s Lone Star State heritage, said Monica Schierbaum, senior director of marketing, in a news release.
“We are a Texas company, and we’ve always been inspired by the spirit, independence and self-sufficiency of Texans,” she said. “We’ve got small towns in our heart and we want our stores to reflect the warmth and generosity you find in a small Texas town.”
The store remodel in Snyder features many Texas references, including a mural at the entrance and a stylized tree suspended over the produce department.
“The tree will be a store landmark — a gathering place for our guests,” she said.
