Vision Import Group has opened a southeastern office.
The River Edge, N.J.-based importer is now working from Lakeland, Fla.
The Florida operation rounds out Vision’s ability to service its national customers, according to a news release.
“Additionally, our company is uniquely positioned to work with Mexican, Central American, and South American growers and shippers to give them a presence in all geographical areas of the United States,” according to the release.
Vision added Bruce Letchworth to head the sales office and Lindsay Love as a sales assistant.
The two most recently worked for Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Supervalu Inc.’s Lakeland office while Letchworth also worked for Public Super Markets Inc. in Lakeland and for Supervalu’s Save-a-Lot Ltd., Earth City, Mo.
Letchworth and Love have long worked in the produce industry and possess a record of customer service, Vision officials said in the release.
The Florida office joins Vision’s Pharr, Texas, operation.
Vision imports limes, mangoes, pineapple and clementines.
