Pharr-based Vision Produce Partners, which focused on mango imports, closed at the end of October, said Bill Vogel, president of Los Angeles-based Vision Produce Co.
Despite the closing, Vision Produce Co. expects to increase its mango volumes this year, Vogel said.
“We decided to go in a different direction with mangoes,” he said.
Vision Produce Partners was launched in 2012. Ben Brittain was the company’s executive vice president and managing member.
Vision Produce Co. will retain the Van Gogh, Mango Magic and other mango brands used by Vision Produce Partners, Vogel said. Brittain will retain his Little Princess and other labels.
