The VistaTrac data collection system is being used at a British Columbia mushroom grower-shipper to improve production efficiencies.
The Ashtabula, Ohio-based Schoneman Inc.’s software helps Champ’s Mushrooms Inc., eliminate its manual system and is being used for Global Trade Identification Numbers labeling, real-time inventory monitoring as well as production and picker reporting, according to a news release.
The VistaTrac bar-coding and data collection system is being used at 10 of the Aldergrove, British Columbia-based Champ’s mushroom farms and at its main processing facility.
VistaTrac integrates with Champ’s’ accounting software and automates the company’s order fulfillment process which improves efficiencies and prevents mistakes, according to a news release.
When Champ’s packs and labels mushrooms at the farms, VistaTrac records picker and bar numbers which are stored on a central cloud server so picker and production reports can be accessed from any location, according to the release.
The new system is more efficient, more user-friendly and saves time from the mushroom grower-shipper’s old system of using ink stamps and handwritten paperwork, according to the release.
VistaTrac includes product selection filters, auto palletizing and label format switching features.
