Janice Elder’s Lattice Tart appetizer earns her a trip for two to Charleston, S.C., according to a news release from Pelion, S.C.-based W.P. Rawl.
More than 75 recipes were submitted for the contest, which asked for recipes using any of W.P. Rawl’s Nature’s Greens-branded cooking greens: kale, collards, turnips, and mustards. Recipes included appetizers, soups, main entrees and desserts.
W.P. Rawl promoted the contest on packaging, its Facebook page and the Nature’s Greens Twitter page and through sponsored blogger posts.
“We were very pleased with the quality of entries,” Ashley Rawl, the company’s director of sales, marketing and product development, said in the release. “Recipe contests are a great way for us to see how consumers enjoy their greens and incorporate them into their family heritage.”
