The Arden, N.C.-based company is making systems run up to 40% faster, according to a news release.

The upgraded VPS software allows users to change pallet patterns, inputting package sizes and number of cases on a pallet, without stopping production.

The software displays the cases on the screen and users can arrange them as necessary and assign the pallet to start the new pattern.

ITW says the system is easy to use and only requires minimal training.

“Software is the fundamental building block for any successful warehouse automation solution,” Jeff Stingel, ITW’s vice president of sales, said in the release. “Our VPS software provides the accuracy and flexibility necessary to help our customers successfully achieve their automation needs.”
