The Washington Apple Education Foundation, Wenatchee, posted its universal scholarship application on Sept. 15 at www.thewashboard.org.
Students must complete and submit the Foundation scholarship application by March 1, 2013, to be considered for the 2013-14 school year, according to a news release.
The scholarships are sponsored by tree fruit industry firms, families and in memory of industry and community leaders.
More than 150 scholarships will be awarded next spring by the Foundation scholarship selection committee to college-bound and college-enrolled students who were raised in tree fruit districts of Washington, according to the release.
These awards will be valued at nearly $500,000.
Registration and use of thewashboard.org services are free to both scholarship seekers and providers.
