Washington Farms and Ranchers and North by Northwest Productions received a Bronze Telly Award for the show “Washington Grown” in the Information category of the Film competition.

“We are thrilled that ‘Washington Grown’ has been recognized by our creative peers in the industry, and that this collaboration with Washington Farmers and Ranchers has been so successful in its first season,” David Tanner, executive producer of the show, said in a news release.

Due to the success of the first season, a second season with 13 episodes is currently under production and set to launch this fall.

The 30-minute program combines education on Washington farms and with a “foodie-flare”, according to the release. The program highlights area restaurants, bakeries and other food-related places and programs. The goal of the program is to connect food to the farmers who grow it. Episodes feature stories about the Washington food scene and highlights an agricultural product grown or raised in Washington.

“The Telly Council, our judging and oversight body, is comprised of top industry professionals that are past winners of a Silver Telly, our highest honor,” Linda Day, executive director of the Telly Awards, said in the release. “It is a remarkable achievement to be selected for recognition.”
