The Dec. 20 edition of San Rafael, Calif.-based SafetyChain Software’s FSMA Fridays free web seminars looks at what food safety professionals should anticipate from food safety regulations in 2014.

The seminar is scheduled at 9 a.m. Pacific Dec. 20. Topics include:

  • An update on food safety regulations;
  • A look at pending and future rules related to food defense, transport, high-risk foods and traceability;
  • What to expect regarding guidance documents on the “preventive control” rule; and
  • A discussion of the “qualified individual” Food and Drug Administration’s standardized curriculum.

Presenters will answer questions, according to the release. Register at www.FSMAFridays.com. A recording of the session, and past web seminars, will be available. Past seminars have covered supply chain controls, foreign supplier and third-party auditor rules, the produce safety rule and other topics.

The Acheson Group, with former Food and Drug Administration associate commissioner for foods David Acheson, presents the information through SafetyChain Software’s seminars.
