Web seminars offered by USDA

USDAThe U.S. Department of Agriculture is offering new web seminars for the fruit and vegetable industry.

Hosted by the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service Fruit and Vegetable Program, the free web seminars feature a presentation from a USDA expert on a specific topic and an interactive question-and-answer session, according to a news release from the USDA.

On Dec. 5, the USDA is offering a one-hour web seminar titled “Interpreting USDA Fruit & Vegetable Inspections: Does the Shipment Make Good Delivery?” The Dec. 5 web seminar begins at 2 p.m. Eastern. Registration is available online.

A second USDA AMS web seminar will be Jan. 23, titled “In Korean — An Introduction to the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.” according to the release. The Jan. 23 web seminar begins at 2 p.m. Eastern and registration is online.

The USDA AMS also provides access to previous web seminars.
