The independent purchasing arm of fast food giant Wendy’s has honored a produce distributor as a top supplier.

Dublin, Ohio-based Quality Supply Chain Co-op Inc., the purchasing cooperative for restaurants owned by Wendy’s and its franchisees, gave its Golden Link Award for Supply Chain Excellence to Shelby, Ohio-based RS Hanline Co., according to a Quality Supply Chain news release.

The award, presented at the 2013 Wendy’s Convention in Las Vegas, is Quality Supply Chain’s highest honor for its supplier and distributor partners. Hanline was one of 11 winners.

Hanline has supplied Wendy’s with produce for more than 28 years.

“RS Hanline Co. and the other Golden Link Award winners consistently demonstrate outstanding dedication, innovation, commitment, and service to QSCC and the Wendy’s system,” Quality Supply Chain’s president, John Inwright, said in the release. “These partners are truly in a class above the rest, and they always look for new ways to add value for our members.”
