OCEANSIDE, Calif. — West Coast Tomato Growers expects to start shipping tomatoes under the Oceanside Pole brand in the first week of July.

The company’s farm expanded into another 150 acres this season, totaling about 650 acres, said Harry Singh Jr., founder, who has been growing in the area since the 1960s.

The company’s vine ripe beefsteak and roma tomatoes are all grown using the pole method, which Singh says offers protection for the fruit and a nicer end product.

“It’s a method of making a better quality tomato, with more production, giving the customer more of what they like,” he said.

The Oppenheimer Group, Vancouver, British Columbia, markets West Coast’s crop under the Oceanside Pole brand.

Singh’s father, Harry Singh Sr., moved to California in 1939 and started farming after World War II. Singh Jr. joined the business in 1968, growing a range of produce items, primarily focused on tomatoes.

We would be glad to make use of Mr. Singh's expertise in many ways. He can guide and supply plants and seeds to Farmers in INDIA,PAKISTAN and UAE. UAE is the big buyer of TOMATO PASTE mainly from CHINA. If Mr. Singh's corp is suitable for the purpose a plant can be in stalled to produce PASTE. Presently I am in NY and can be contacted till 20th July on 2817509468 or +8452261971 RA00F
