Greenhouse vegetable grower Windset Farms has earned certification from a non-GMO group.

Delta, British Columbia-based Windset Farms’ products have been approved by the Non-GMO Project Verification Program, a non-profit organization that offers third-party verification and labeling for non-GMO products, according to a Windset Farms news release.

“We are so excited to participate in this verification program that clarifies to the industry and our consumers that we exclusively use naturally-bred seed varieties,” John Newell, Windset Farms’ chief operating officer, said in the release.

Windset Farms — which grows peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, eggplant and endive in Delta; Abbotsford, British Columbia; and Santa Maria, Calif. — will begin adding the Non-GMO Project seal to its packaging.
