The Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association, Antigo, Wis., has announced the winners of the Game Day Wisconsin Potatoes Recipe Contest.
Winners include:
- Dion Frischer, Ann Arbor, Mich., first place, Potato Skins with Skordalia;
- Donna Ryan, Topsfield, Mass., second place, Southwest Potato Salsa Strudel;
- Jenn Tidwell, Fair Oaks, Calif., third place, Baked Potato and Cauliflower Spicy Cheddar Cups.
First place in the contest was Potato Skins with Skordalia from Dion Frischer. The first-place winner received two NFL team game jerseys, second place received an inflatable NFL buffet and four Quad chairs and third place received an NFL team snack helmet, according to a news release.
Donna Bardocz’s name was drawn randomly from the recipe contest voters and entrants and received an iPad.
The next Wisconsin potato recipe contest will be hosted in winter 2012, according to the release.
