YottaMark Inc., Redwood City, Calif., has released the newest version of its free HarvestMark food traceability app is available in the Android Market and the iTunes app store.

The new version supports quick-response code.

According to YottaMark’s news release, it’s the first time the app is available for Android phones.

The app lets shoppers get information about the food they see in markets, like where, when and how it was grown.

HarvestMark has labels on more than 3 billion packages of fresh food in the U.S. and Canada. Del Campo, Driscoll’s, Fresh Selections by Kroger, Sun Fed and others use HarvestMark on their packaging, according to the release.
