Zespri Kiwifruit hosted the Pack Zespri Tasting Event in New York City on July 29 for 35 influential nutritionists, bloggers and media.
The tasting event introduced Zespri’s SunGold and educated attendees on the nutritional value of kiwifruit. Zespri’s quality in all varieties and corporate dedication to sustainability were also discussed at the event, according to a news release.
The event showcased how kiwifruit can be a school lunch item by cutting the fruit in half and spooning out the flesh.
Zespri’s nutrition spokesperson, Rebecca Scritchfield, shared kiwifruit’s benefits and how to pack healthy, on-the-go snacks. Guests tasted the difference between Zespri’s Green Organic and SunGold varieties, and Zespri’s global marketing manager in organics Glen Arrowsmith, informed guests about the company’s sustainabilities practices.
