The restaurant is the Waterbar. The promotion is a venture into foodservice for the New Zealand marketer, whose 2,700 growers export more than 100 million trays of kiwifruit annually to 60 counties, according to a news release.
“It was important to share how Zespri kiwifruit is greatly invested in sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint, while still delivering a quality product,” Michelle Hoard, marketing manager of Zespri North America, said in the release.
The America’s Cup finals are Sept. 7-21 in San Francisco. The event began in July.
The promotion introduced restaurateurs and chefs to foods and wines from New Zealand. Recipes include Zespri kiwifruit Pavlova by pastry chef Angela Gong Salvatore.
