Using input from staff members stationed at key produce growing regions in the U.S., Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Amerifresh Inc. has taken the wraps off of a newly designed market report.
The report is not exclusive to Amerifresh customers.
“It doesn’t contain exact pricing, but it can be used across the supply chain — retailers, restaurant operators, distributors,” said Greg Reinauer, senior vice president.
Developed internally and distributed via the Internet, the market report was designed to be user-friendly.
“There are many market reports, but we feel the upgrade we’ve initiated is unique in that it allows the subscriber to see visually with graphics indicating demand, quality, supply and price trends what each product is doing,” said Rick Harris, director of business development.
The market report benefits from the company’s boots in the field, Reinauer said.
“Our Amerifresh associates are out there looking at the product, understanding the market conditions and writing the newsletter,” he said.
The market report is updated every Friday and published to the company’s website, www.amerifresh.com, Harris said. The market reports also are forwarded via e-mail to subscribers.
