This year’s Paul Cappelluti & Judy Powell Charity Golf Tournament has attracted players from as far away as Italy, said Kurt Cappelluti, tournament organizer and sales manager for Stellar Distributing Inc., Madera, Calif.

“I also have entries from fresh produce industry folks in New Jersey, New York, Florida and Pennsylvania and from throughout California,” he said.

The tournament is marking its 16th year and will be April 26 at the Madera Municipal Golf Course, Madera, about 25 miles north of Fresno. An awards ceremony at the course will conclude the day’s events. A tournament dinner is the previous night at The Vineyard Restaurant, Madera.

Entry fees are $125 per person and $500 per team, Cappelluti said, with proceeds benefiting Nancy Hinds Hospice, Fresno. During its first 15 years, proceeds from the tournament have generated average annual donations approaching $20,000 to the hospice, he said.

Entry forms are available by contacting Cappelluti or Heather Blicha at 559-664-8400.
