Seald Sweet International is adding a citrus sales veteran.
Dave Brocksmith, who worked in sales for DNE World Fruit Sales, Fort Pierce, Fla., in August joined the Vero Beach, Fla.-based Seald Sweet as an account executive.
Brocksmith has more than two decades of produce industry sales tenure.
In a news release, Seald Sweet officials lauded Brocksmith for his development of Florida citrus programs for key retail accounts and how his “tenured experience in the fresh sectors of the produce industry” should add new talent to growing Seald Sweet’s growing operations.
“We are excited to welcome new talent to our team and look forward to the success and opportunities David will bring to Seald Sweet through his experience in the industry,” Mayda Sotomayor, Seald Sweet’s chief executive officer, said in the release. “We feel David will be instrumental in the further development of our sales programs.”
The move should also help strengthen the grower-shipper-importer-marketer’s U.S. position and with Univeg, its Belgium-based parent company, according to the release.
