Formerly All State Packers Inc., Rivermaid Trading expects to start with brooks, tulares and a limited volume of corals about May 1, Miller said.

In the northern region, most orchards are at or past full bloom by March 20, she said March 18, but some orchards were still at full bloom and some were at 15%-20%

Assuming decent growing conditions until and during harvest, Miller remained optimistic.

“We had a really mild summer last year and plenty of chill hours during winter, so the overall crop condition should be pretty good,” she said.
