The 2013-14 season kicked off in October for Stockton, Calif.-based Grower Direct, according to a company news release.
Grower Direct expects ample, consistent volumes through February.
“I am very happy with the volume and quality that Grower Direct has been able to secure for this season,” Grower Direct’s Ron Morway said in the release. “We will be increasing our volume for the fifth consecutive year and planning more retail promotions than ever.”
Grower Direct also will bring in Chilean cherries this season.
Thanks to severe September freezes, sourcing will be more challenging this season, Morway said, but the company said it has still managed to secure promotable volumes.
