Registration for the Web seminar, scheduled for 12-12:30 p.m. Eastern on Nov. 8, can be done online. A question and answer session will follow the presentations, according to a news release.
The National Potato Council will brief media on the Web seminar about the document it commissioned to provide food safety guidance for companies that produce, harvest, store, pack, and transport potatoes. The NPC food safety guidelines are divided into sections that address general practices, production and harvest operations, storage unit operations and packinghouse operations.
Speakers at the web seminar will be:
- John Keeling, executive vice president and CEO, National Potato Council;
- Susan Leaman, vice president, Intertox Decision Sciences, LLC; and
- Andy Diercks, vice president, Coloma Farms, Inc., Coloma, Wisc.
