(Dec. 2) The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has launched a searchable database known as FAVIR (an ackronym for "fruits and vegetables import requirement").

The FAVIR database allows customers to search for authorized fruits and vegetables by commodity or country to determine the general requirements for importation into the U.S., according to a news release.

To access the system, visit www.aphis.usda.gov/favir/info.shtml.
