Dixon has 30 years of experience in various agricultural disciplines including plant science, plant health and molecular bioscience, according to the release.
His duties for the commission will include research project management, outreach and communications and the development of research strategy.

In her new role at the commission, she will focus on maintaining communications with growers and packers, the release said.
