The orchard, owned by the Marino family, grows about 400 acres of peaches every season. It also won in the commercial category for peaches from 2 1/4 inches to 2 1/2 inches. The Marinos won the Governor’s Cup for a year and a smaller cup to keep.
Heilig Orchards, Richwood, N.J., won the specialty category with its White Ladies, white flesh, fuzzless and large peaches.
In the grower/shipper-selected peach category, Mount Pleasant Orchards, Richwood, won with its John Boys.
The festival also featured educational displays and the Peach Queen crowning, this year honoring Leevon Lacy of Woodstown.
The festival is organized by the New Jersey Peach Promotion Council and the New Jersey Peach Festival Association.
