Gold Coast Packing and Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp. have reached a licensing agreement to bring some Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes restaurant items to club stores and supermarkets in Western states.
Offerings include Lemon Broccoli Madness and Joan’s Broccoli Madness salad kits.
The kits are initially available at club stores in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Texas, according to a news release.
Other salad kits and produce items are expected to be introduced over the next several months.
“There is tremendous long-term potential to provide Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes produce kits to various retailers,” John Schaefer, vice president and general manager of Santa Maria, Calif.-based Gold Coast Packing, said in the release.
Gold Coast grows, ships and processes fresh broccoli, cauliflower, cilantro, spinach and other fresh vegetables.
