NationFresh adds industry sales veterans

Hoping to expand its national sales and marketing, NationFresh LLC has added two sales and marketing industry veterans.

Rust

The Lakewood, Colo.-based NationFresh brought in Wesley Rust and Larry Narwold to serve as directors of business development for the organization that has in the past sold primarily tomatoes.

For the past five years, Rust was national marketing manager for Produce Alliance LLC, Nashville, Tenn.

Rust, who will work from his home in the Ft. Worth, Texas, area was also director of national accounts for Fresh Network LLC, Salinas, Calif.,

Narwold

and was vice president of national account sales for National Produce Consultants Inc., Plano, Texas.

Rust, who has more than two decades of produce industry experience, has also been an account executive for Sysco Food Services of Dallas Inc. and Goodman Produce Co., Dallas.

Narwold, who recently was national fresh-cut and retail sales manager for Wayne E. Bailey Produce Co., Chadbourn, N.C., has nearly three decades of experience.

He was vice president of sales for the Minneapolis-based Green Giant Fresh/Sholl Group II, and worked nine years as regional director of sales for Atlanta Southeast for Tanimura & Antle Inc., Salinas, and 15 years as a produce director for Supervalu Inc./ Wetterau Inc.

Probstfield

Narwold, who plans to work from his Atlanta-area home, also worked for Hendrix Produce Inc., Metter, Ga., was the second president of the Southeast Produce Council and is a committee member for the United Fresh Produce Association, Washington, D.C.

Steven Probstfield, NationFresh’s chief operating officer, in a news release said the two will focus their attention on growing NationFresh’s regional and national sales through expanding its marketing, product line and business development to its retail, wholesale and foodservice sales.
