Users can search for shipments with pickup or drop-off dates, or numbers assigned to containers, customers or C.H. Robinson loads on Apple or Android mobile devices using the new app, according to a news release.
Shippers can also view information on key shipping events, see images of documents, and e-mail account representatives using the free software. The app is available for download from the Apple App Store, iTunes, GooglePlay and Amazon Marketplace.
C.H. Robinson, Eden Prairie, Minn., introduced the Navisphere platform in November 2012, the release states. It allows customers to access a centralized network of more than 100,000 supply chain partners without the need to integrate individually with each provider.
Also in November the company introduced the CHRWTrucks.com mobile app for carriers and other providers. It allows a motor carrier to enter shipment information such as check calls and delivery statistics, as well as post empty equipment locations.
