DeltaTrak DeltaTrak has introduced its In-Transit Temperature Recorder, with several models available in its 16000 series.

The single-use technology is available for time periods between five and 90 days, according to a news release. It records environmental conditions during storage and transportation of food and other items in refrigerated trucks, ocean containers or rail cars.

The recorder generates a permanent record of transit conditions on a 36-inch strip chart, according to Pleasanton, Calif.-based DeltaTrak.

A view port allows an operator to visually confirm activation after the start-up tab has been pulled. A new pull tab design is aimed at making the recorder easier to start.

Serial numbers on each unit provide traceability documentation. The design also ensures recording stops at the end of the trip.

“Our recorders’ patented design and new features makes the process of monitoring temperature and providing product quality documentation easier and less costly,” Frederick Wu, president and chief executive officer, said in the release.

They come in a vented case.
