BioControl Systems Inc.’s new software aims to help fresh produce companies better monitor their Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point and hygiene programs.

The Bellevue, Wash.-based microbiology testing products firm is introducing the MVP Icon program that monitors HACCP data.

The software provides program analytics that are updated in real-time, according to a news release.

The software also allows printing of reports to lessen the time quality managers must spend analyzing HACCP trending data in preparation for audits, according to the release.

“The industry’s needs for HACCP and hygiene program management have evolved over the years,” Phil Feldsine, BioControl’s chief executive officer, said in the release. “Simply monitoring ATP levels is no longer sufficient. Utilizing these data to verify that quality objectives are being achieved and improved upon is essential in today’s regulatory climate.”
