CTC Plastics, Dayton, Ohio, is making pallets from worn-out tires.

The pallets can help companies reduce their carbon footprint while providing cost and performance advantages, according to a news release from the company.

Pallets manufactured with Lehigh Technologies’ trademarked MicroDyne micronized rubber powder can be bought from CTC’s pallet line.

Formally called Xpro Rubber Batch, Micronized rubber resin compounds can be purchased as-is or used in a custom-molded product, according to the release.
