Best practices for implementing plastic pallets in food operations is the topic of a free Web seminar scheduled by the Orbis Corp. for Aug. 9.
The seminar is set for 2 p.m. EDT with Curt Most, national pallet manager for Orbis, planned as the presenter, according to a news release from the Oconomowoc, Wis.-based corporation. The seminar is free, but registration is required.
Courtesy Orbis Corp. Food safety topics including the use of reusable plastic pallets are among the items on the seminar agenda. Other topics planned for discussion are: storing and moving product through the supply chain; what the Food Safety Modernization Act means for pallets; and how Orbis believes plastic pallets can enhance food safety.
Most is also scheduled to talk about his experiences collaborating with major food and grocery companies to implement plastic pallet programs that reduce per-trip costs, decrease product damage and improve cleanliness, according to the news release.
In his daily work, Most helps companies analyze their entire supply chain, recommends solutions, completes pilot programs, trains their staff and fully implements plastic pallets in their system.
