The robot can handle loads of more than 100 pounds and up to 20 picks per minute. The preassembled system can accommodate pallets up to 109 inches high.

It’s the latest in a line of palletizers from Greenville, Wis.-based QComp Technologies. They are not in use in the fresh produce industry but are suitable there, said John Schwan, director of sales and marketing. Meat packaging plants and other industries use them. Meat and cheese clients also use QComp’s robotic case packers.

System specifications are customized for various uses and sanitary standards, Schwan said.

“The new 5G palletizer allows customers to stack bags, cases or trays at any point in their production line, eliminating long and costly conveyor runs to specialized palletizing areas,” Tom Doyle, president, said in a news release.

QComp Technologies designs and builds automated robotic manufacturing cells and materials handling systems.
