The software company specializes in barcode data collection, and its release of SIMBA Lite 2012 is the latest product from Dynamic Systems, according to a news release.

SIMBA — Specialized Inventory Management with Barcode Accuracy — is designed for companies that want to track fresh food “on the fly,” according to the release. Companies that process fresh produce in bulk can particularly benefit from the new system because it allows a production line worker to change labels and capture product information with one touch.

Weight, size, color and grade of produce can be printed on new labels, with the data also being captured for inventory systems, according to Dynamic Systems’ website. Labeled cartons can be palletized and tracked with a single pallet identifier using SIMBA Lite 2012.

With the van loading feature of SIMBA Lite 2012, users can track cartons or pallets as they are loaded into trucks. The software generates bills of lading automatically, saving time and decreasing disputes with customers regarding what was actually shipped, according to the release.
