Officials with Santa Clara, Calif.-based RedLine said in a news release the interface will integrate their product RedLine Field with the JunctionFB product from Englewood, Colo.-based Junction Solutions. It is expected to be available by mid-2013.
JunctionFB is specifically designed for the food and beverage industries, according to the release, and it includes grower accounting, lot trace, inventory management and trade promotion management functions.
The partnership with RedLine provides Junction’s produce customers with an automated, complete Produce Traceability Initiative-compliant end-to-end traceability solution, Junction senior vice president Christian Hutter said in the release. It should also improve efficiency and reduce costs, Hutter said.
RedLine’s chief executive officer Todd Baggett said in the release that the partnership with Junction offers grower-shippers and food processors complete field-to-fork traceability that is compliant with the PTI.
The two companies will demonstrate the integrated systems in a session at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit at 1 p.m. Oct. 28 in Room 206B at the Anaheim Convention Center. Registration is required.
