The Minneapolis-based Thermo Fisher Scientific released its thermal shock-resistant metal detector.

The Apex HD was developed to withstand temperature cycles that are necessary in fresh food processing.

The metal detectors used for produce are typically used in cold rooms that experience wash downs several times a day with varying temperatures.

The Apex HD has an operating life of 10 more years in that environment, according to a news release.

“For more than six decades, Thermo Scientific metal detectors have set the standard for high performance. This latest addition to the APEX line is just one more example of how we continuously develop new capabilities to address our most demanding customers’ needs,” Bob Ries, lead metal detector product manager at Thermo Fisher, said in the release.

I am also a metal detectorist. I found that metal detecting is far more difficult than I think. I think we should not rely to much on metal detector. Metal detecting is something more than a good metal detector. I found Besides owning a good metal detector, the most important thing is that you should be very patient. Because you will find much more scraps than treasures.
