Xata Corp. names executives

Xata Corp., Eden Prairie, Minn., promoted Scott Meyer to chief marketing and strategy officer, and Steve Chamberlain as executive vice president of field operations.

Meyer, formerly the senior vice president of marketing for Xata Corp., has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and public relations.

Chamberlain previously served as senior vice president of sales and client management at Ecova energy and telecom services.

Both Meyer and Chamberlain will be members of Xata’s executive team, reporting to chief executive officer Jay Coughlan.

“Scott has already helped us cement our position as an industry leader, and I’m confident he and Steve will both play crucial roles in helping us attract new customers, retain our existing customers and sell (our) products and services,” Coughlan said in a news release.

Xata Corp. provides fleet management software to the trucking industry.
