Strawberries, tree fruit and grapes are among the produce commodities that can be packed in a new corrugated container from Maxco Supply Inc.

Anaheim, Calif., according to a Maxco press release.

The six-ply containers increase top-to-bottom strength and reduce bottom sag. And because they are made of microflute material, it’s easier to print on the surface of the container, according to the release.

The containers also are 100% recyclable.

To make six-ply material, Maxco laminated two tri-wall boards together and cut them into bliss ends using water jet technology.

This year Maxco has replaced all of its quad-wall ends with six-ply, or “tri-wall times two,” bliss ends.
