Modern Mushroom Farms, Avondale, Pa., plans to use YottaMark’s traceability system in its California and Pennsylvania packing facilities.

Redwood City, Calif.-based YottaMark’s technology will allow Modern Mushroom to assign Global Trade Item Numbers and upload them to a centralized database, and select and print labels for its cases, according to a news release.

Data from the two packing locations will be automatically synchronized.

“This added traceability component provides real-time access at all levels of our supply chain, and provides our cus-tomers with advanced access to harvest, distribution, quality, and food safety information, when and where they need it,” Jack Reitnauer, chief operating officer of Modern Mushroom, said in the release.
