Nunhems USA’s quality assurance department has become the first in the U.S. to receive certification from Naktuinbouw, the Netherlands Inspection Service for Horticulture.

Naktuinbouw, which is the Dutch equivalent of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, operates under the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, according to a news release.

Nunhems, a subsidiary of Bayer CropScience, earned the accredited laboratory certification after a panel of experts examined the company’s quality assurance protocols.

Parma, Idaho-based Nunhems USA is among just 13 companies globally that have earned the accreditation, according to the release.
