The Toronto-based Ontario Food Terminal Board plans to use an air sanitation system in its facility to help ensure food safety.

The AiroCide system from KES Science & Technology Inc., Atlanta, kills airborne mold, fungi, bacteria and viruses, and removes ethylene gas, according to a news release.

The system should reduce the risk of cross-contamination and extend product shelf life in the 80,000-square-foot cold storage facility.
